France today is one of the exciting destinations in Western Europe . Many travelers say the beauty of France is unique which is sought after by the visitors. It has scenic architecture landscape as well as historical places that made it more special place to be visited.

Although having many wonders of the world that it is proud to announce, France remains to be humble, as its historical landmarks would already speak for its splendor. Aside from being the six largest economy in the world, it is also bordered by other developed countries like Luxembourg , Germany , Switzerland , Belgium , Italy , Spain , Andorra and Monaco .

France is the most visited country in the world with an estimated 75 million tourists and businessmen arrivals annually. As of January 2007, France has a total population of 64, 102,140. The country’s leaders run a semi presidential government believing in democracy. It is also a proud founder member of the European Union, the United Nations, WTO, permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and also a partial member of NATO.

Being one of the top ten most developed countries of the world, many countries also look up France as a good ally. Even the United States of America has great respect over the leaders of France .

Today, its president, Nicolas Sarcozy and Prime Minister Francois Fillon have worked hand in hand for mode developments, more tourist destinations and more economic activity of the country.

Religion in France
Like in many other countries, many religions also thrive in France but still the whole population is dominated by Roman Catholics which comprised of 51 percent, followed by the atheist which is 34 percent, Muslims only 4 percent, Protestants 3 percent, and the remaining percentages was divided among other born again Christian groups. Religious groups such as Children of God, Unification Movement, Order of the Solar Temple , and Scientology were also considered cults in said country.

Great architecture
In France , some of those considered great architecture include the Eiffel Tower , Mont-Saint Michel, Chateau de Chambord, Arc de Triumphe, Notre Dame de Paris, The Basilica, Louvre Museum , and the Arche dela Defense. Of these architectural wonders in France , the Eiffel Tower is the most known worldwide as it is always compared as among the tallest skyscrapers of the world.

Sports in France
French are also sports-loving people. Amongst its popular sports are basketball, football (soccer) and rugby. In fact in September of this year, the country will host the 2007 Rugby Union World Cup.

Franch also hosted the 1938 and 1998 FIFA World Cups which also included them in the world sports as among the best hosting countries in Europe in as far as world cups is concerned.

Tour de France, a famous world bicycle race was also hosted in France annually. The race gain recognition all over the world.

Indeed, France is among the best countries of the world worthy of emulation because of its very organized governance in all facets of developments, whether in sports, tourist attractions, and economic stability – which all gained them worldwide attention.
